Scripps Physicians Featured in Medical Mission Articles
Doctors provide care to patients in China, Latin America

A pair of physicians affiliated with Scripps Health were among those featured in a special series of articles by the San Diego Union-Tribune about clinicians who provide care to needy patients through medical missions outside the United States.
Cardiothoracic surgeon William Wang, MD, travels to China every year to perform free heart surgeries and hold classes for medical students. Otolaryngologist Ritvik Mehta, MD, performs free surgeries in Guatemala on children with microtia, a congenital deformity of the outer ear.
