An article in San Diego Magazine examined the key role that philanthropy plays in supporting hospice care programs in San Diego County, including Scripps Hospice. The story described the need for greater physician training in hospice care and outlined a hospice training program co-led by Scripps, which is supported entirely by philanthropy.
