The fall season brings with it cravings for comfort foods like mashed potatoes, pasta and apple crisp. For people with diabetes, indulging in these dishes might pose a health problem.


But that doesn't have to be the case, says Scripps endocrinologist Athena Philis-Tsimikas, MD, who also is corporate vice president of the Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute.
