San Diego woman, Scripps plastic surgeon featured on CBS 8

Jean Silverwood, who was recently diagnosed with a rare breast implant associated cancer, and her plastic surgeon, Salvatore Pacella, MD, were recently featured in a CBS 8 news segment discussing her condition.


Silverwood is believed to be among the first to be diagnosed with the rare cancer condition in San Diego. Dr. Pacella is division head of plastic surgery at Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center.
