Ramdev Konijeti, MD, a urologist at Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center, recently visited KUSI to discuss new medical technology that has improved the way bladder cancer is detected.


Bluelight cystoscopy, as the new technology is known, helps diagnose bladder cancer tumors more easily than the other existing cystoscopy method, which uses white light. Bladder cancer is the sixth-most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States. Dr. Konijeti is also a physician with Scripps Clinic.
