Scripps Clinic among first to offer shoulder balloon implants

Local news outlets covered a novel treatment option recently introduced at Scripps Clinic for patients with rotator cuff tears. The minimally invasive procedure involves inserting a small balloon into the shoulder and filling it with saline solution to create a cushion inside the joint. Scripps Clinic orthopedic surgeon Brian Rebolledo, MD, discussed this new treatment option with CBS 8 News and the Del Mar Times.
