Scripps Clinic family medicine physician Mark Shalauta, MD, recently discussed the return of common respiratory infections such as influenza and colds as San Diego County public health officials reported early season outbreaks at several local schools.


Dr. Shalauta said now is the time to get a flu shot to provide protection as we move into the winter illness season.
