Greater awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms needed

Reader’s Digest covered a recent study that found a correlation between ovarian cancer and purchases of certain over-the-counter medications. Gynecologic oncologist Jo Marie Tran Janco, MD, offered important perspective on the study’s findings, including the need for greater awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms. Dr. Janco is director of the gynecologic cancer program at Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center and is a Scripps Clinic physician.
