A Love Story Made Possible Through Living Kidney Donation at Scripps

April is National Donate Life Month and KUSI-TV shared the inspiring story of Greg Nicholson and his wife Yila Lienert. Greg donated one of his kidneys to Yila and following the successful transplant procedure at Scripps Green Hospital, both say they feel better than ever, both physically and emotionally. The couple shared their story publicly to raise awareness about living kidney donation as an option for those in need of transplantation. James Rice, MD, a Scripps Clinic nephrologist specializing in kidney transplantation, shared insights into living kidney donation.
