Scripps Clinic physicians found patients maintained weight loss after reducing doses
A number of media outlets, including the New York Times, recently reported on a study by Scripps Clinic physicians that found patients maintained their peak weight loss after reducing the treatment frequency of GLP-1 injections.
“The number one question patients give me about this drug is, ‘Will I have to take this every week forever?’” Scripps Clinic obesity and internal medicine specialist Mitch Biermann, MD, told the Times.
His study, recently published by the medical journal Obesity, found that might not be necessary.
