Scripps Clinic pediatrician urges families to update vaccines as school year begins
Childhood vaccination rates continue to decline according to the latest government data, raising concerns about preventable diseases such as measles as kids return to school and the nation marks Immunization Awareness Month in August.
Scripps Clinic pediatrician Gurinder Dabhia, MD, recently told CBS 8 that vaccinations protect children, their families and their community. She urged parents to discuss any questions they might have with their doctor and to rely on trusted medical sources, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics.
