National Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Month takes place in September and Casey Cohenmeyer, MD, joined Fox 5 News to offer a glimpse into the specialized and compassionate care provided to medically vulnerable newborns. Scripps Health operates its three NICUs in partnership with Rady Children’s Hospital. Dr. Cohenmeyer is a neonatologist with Rady Children’s who leads the NICU at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.
