Reza Elahimehr, MD

Scripps nephrologist Reza Elahimehr, MD, specializes in glomerulonephritis (GN), long-term transplant care, chronic kidney disease (CKD) and hypertension, and has special training in transplant nephrology. He strives to increase his patients’ knowledge and understanding of renal diseases and factors important to preventing kidney failure, including diet and lifestyle modification. 

Dr. Elahimehr collaborates on various research projects with industry and other academic institutions. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Elahimehr enjoys sports including soccer and hiking. He also plays Persian musical instruments.
