Biography

As an internal medicine specialist, Siu Ming Geary, MD, provides comprehensive primary care with a focus on preventive care.

Dr. Geary believes in caring for the whole person. She takes into account the emotional and social factors, as well as the physical, for total well-being. In addition, she believes in treating each patient as an individual and developing relationships based on open, honest communication. She also strives to educate her patients and provide them with the tools and knowledge needed to develop a healthy lifestyle and prevent future illness.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Geary is focused on education and continuous quality improvement. Currently, she is leading efforts to improve the quality of care and increase patient satisfaction at Scripps Clinic in the areas of internal medicine, family medicine and pediatrics.

When she is not caring for patients she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, and trying new activities such as acrylic painting and glass blowing. She is also working toward her goal of traveling to every continent, learning five languages (she speaks Cantonese and some Mandarin), and mastering the piano.
