Heinz Hoenecke, MD

Heinz Hoenecke, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. He has special clinical interest in the shoulder, including throwing shoulder, shoulder reconstruction and shoulder replacement, as well as knee ligament reconstruction. In practice since 1988, Dr. Hoenecke can assist patients living with a variety of sports injuries, arthritis, and other shoulder and knee problems.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hoenecke conducts research in the areas of shoulder arthroplasty (surgical repair of the joint), the throwing shoulder and arthroscopic surgical techniques. He is also active in the medical community as a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Hoenecke believes in getting to know his patients’ goals and history in order to provide the best treatment options possible.

When not in the office, he enjoys flying, surfing and skiing.
