Scripps obstetrician and gynecologist Natasha Kamat, MD, provides person-centered, evidence-based care. She specializes in birth control counseling and family planning, prenatal care, infertility workup, abnormal uterine bleeding, sexual wellness and menopausal care. Dr. Kamat is also trained in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including both laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and performs gender-affirming hysterectomies.
Dr. Kamat is committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive and compassionate care for all her patients. She prioritizes making patients feel heard and working to develop a care plan tailored to each individual.
Dr. Kamat believes being an OB-GYN is a perfect mixture of continuity of care, preventive medicine, advocacy and surgery. She was drawn to this specialty because she felt she could make a strong public health impact and is proud to be in a profession where she can advocate for patients. Additionally, she has developed a passion for preventive medicine through public health research and global health studies.
In her free time, Dr. Kamat enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, reading and exploring new restaurants in San Diego.
