Dr. Steer received his medical degree in 1995 and completed his internal medicine training in 1998 at Duke University. He completed his nephrology and hypertension training at the University of California, San Diego in 2003. Dr. Steer has a particular interest in the care of patients with chronic kidney disease, including end-stage kidney disease and kidney transplantation. He sees patients in the office, hospital, and dialysis unit settings. Dr. Steer’s goal is to provide excellence in patient care by utilizing the most novel approaches with compassion and dedication. A native of Boston, Dr. Steer is proud to call San Diego home.
