Kelly Van Den Heuvel, MD

As an obstetrician and gynecologist (OB-GYN), Kelly van den Heuvel, MD, provides complete gynecologic care. She has a special clinical interest in helping patients with perimenopause and menopause. She also sees patients for general gynecologic care including cancer screenings, infertility and contraception. In addition, she performs gynecologic surgery. 

Dr. Van den Heuvel believes in developing strong relationships with patients. She encourages active engagement in all aspects of care and decision-making. Having trained in a university setting, with high-risk specialists, she understands the importance of fostering a safe environment, while respecting her patients’ preferences. 

She actively continues her education and stays abreast of evidence-based medicine through annual meetings and online courses. 

A native of New York, she has lived in San Diego since 2008. She enjoys travel, studying languages, performing taiko, and spending time with friends and family.
