Biography

As an infectious disease specialist, Miguel Goicoechea, MD, helps patients with long-term disease management. He specializes in HIV medicine and treating patients with HIV and Hepatitis C co-infection.

Dr. Goicoechea’s philosophy of care for treating patients with infectious disease, such as HIV or HIV-hepatitis C, stems from the words of Roman poet Marcus Valerius Martialis as his inspiration for patient care, “Life is not merely being alive, but being well." He helps his patients find the right treatment options to help them reduce symptoms and enjoy life.

When not with his patients, Dr. Goicoechea has an active social life with his family and friends.
