Yifan Yang, MD

Yifan (Tony) Yang, MD, is a general surgeon whose clinical interests span a wide range of general surgery, including benign and malignant breast disease, biliary disease, hernia repair, foregut surgery, gastric cancer, colon cancer, pancreatic cancer and anorectal disorders. 

He specializes in minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery and is recognized as an early adopter of robotic techniques. As of 2025, he has successfully performed over 1,500 robotic-assisted surgeries — ranging from routine procedures to complex, high-risk cases.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Yang enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four children. The family loves to travel and explore the diverse cultural and outdoor activities that San Diego offers.
