Biography

Pediatrician Shaun Berger, MD, provides comprehensive primary care for newborns, children and adolescents, focusing on preventive medicine. Dr. Berger loves caring for kids and making them feel better. As a parent to two boys, he believes the pediatrician’s role is to partner with families by carefully listening to their concerns and developing a plan of care that works best for their particular child and family, with close follow-up for re-evaluation.

Dr. Berger emphasizes preventive care, keeping up-to-date with the latest medical research and evidence-based therapies, while avoiding excessive testing and antibiotics. He believes seeing the pediatrician should be a fun experience for children whenever possible.

Dr. Berger is dedicated to his East County practice and enjoys providing compassionate care for diverse local families. When not caring for patients, he enjoys traveling, playing fantasy football and running half-marathons.
