Falls are preventable, but they continue to be the leading cause of emergency department visits and hospitalizations for older adults. The Scripps Trauma Injury Prevention Team invites you to discover the value of a comprehensive approach to fall prevention.
Join us for a fall risk assessment and participate in classes and presentations to improve balance and gait. Receive blood pressure and stroke risk assessments, obtain a medication review and learn tips for driver safety. Tour our state-of-the-art facility and visit our resource tables to learn about valuable products and services in our community.

12:30 pm - 12:55 pm - Balance exercise class (option 1 of 2) *please check-in by 12:15 pm
1 pm - 2 pm - Fall risk assessments by physical therapy experts
2 pm - 2:15 pm - Stroke risk: take action to learn your personal risk factors
2:15 pm - 3:15 pm - Physical therapists share how to reduce your risk of falling
3:15 pm - 3:30 pm - Bone health and how working with your pharmacist can reduce your fall risk
3:30 pm - 4:15 pm - Is it safe to keep driving?
4:15 pm - 4:45 pm - Balance exercise class (option 2 of 2)
12:30 pm - 2 pm - Blood pressure, medication, stroke risk checks and resource fair
