Scripps Spinoff Event Raises $1.2 Million for Cancer Care

The 25th annual Spinoff event raised more than $1.2 million for cancer patient support services at Scripps Health. Spinoff has raised more than $16 million for cancer care and research since its inception.

Nearly 450 guests, many decked in 1920s-themed clothing, celebrated the silver anniversary event at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine on May 5. Robin Rady, a breast cancer survivor, served as the event’s chairwoman for the second consecutive year.

Proceeds from the event will help build multidisciplinary clinics at the Scripps Radiation Therapy Center and at the Scripps Mercy Cancer Center.
