Scripps pre-diabetes program was launched last year
Recent media stories exploring government efforts to support diabetes prevention programs across the country featured comments by Athena Philis-Tsimikas, MD, a Scripps Clinic endocrinologist who is corporate vice president of the Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute, and Robin Morrisey, a lifestyles coach with the institute.
Dr. Tsimikas oversees a pre-diabetes program at Scripps that was launched last year.
