Athena Philis-Tsimikas, MD, discusses study with MedPage Today

Athena Philis-Tsimikas, MD, an endocrinologist and corporate vice president of the Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute, recently discussed the findings of a study by the American Diabetes Association with MedPage Today, a medical publication.


The study showed that patients with diabetes undergoing non-cardiac surgery are at higher risk of complications compared to patients without diabetes.
