The San Diego Union-Tribune recently published an article on a diabetes prevention program led by Scripps in National City.


Athena Philis-Tsimikas, MD, an endocrinologist and corporate vice president of Scripps Whittier Diabetes Institute, discussed the year-long program that targets Latinos who are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The program helps participants lose weight through nutrition and exercise.
