For National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Fox 5 News interviewed Laika Nur, MD, about injury prevention tips specifically geared toward female athletes. Dr. Nur explained that females are at increased risk for some sports-related injuries, and discussed practical strategies to help stay healthy. Dr. Nur is a sports medicine specialist with Scripps Clinic and serves as head team physician for the San Diego Mojo professional women’s volleyball team.
