As an ophthalmologist, Chris J. Gualtieri, MD, (pronounced gwal-tea-air-ee) enjoys caring for his patients using the latest vision equipment, technology and techniques to provide them the very best in eye care.
Dr. Gualtieri makes it a point to treat every patient like a family member. In fact, he takes great pride in giving each patient — both adults and children — the personal attention they deserve. This includes using the most effective treatment plan that’s right for each patient’s individual health care needs.
He treats patients with dry eye, astigmatism, glaucoma and macular degeneration. Should his patients require surgery, his expertise includes Intralase (bladeless surgery), Lasik surgery, CustomVue and cataract surgery. He also performs eyelid rejuvenation, under eye bag removal and skin procedures, such as Botox injectables, microdermabrasion and skin peels.
Dr. Gualtieri enjoys teaching his fellow ophthalmologists, medical students and residents new and vital innovations in the eye care field through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on training sessions. He also enjoys sharing the latest eye care developments at publicly-held lectures.
When Dr. Gualtieri isn’t providing optimal care to his patients, he enjoys mountain biking, sailing, playing tennis and painting.
