Dr. Lira has been practicing medicine since 1987 and was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1978. He was also board certified in Pulmonary Disease in 1980. Dr. Lira received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in 1971. He served his internship specializing in Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York and served his residency specializing in Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. Dr. Lira also completed a Pulmonary Diseases Fellowship at St. Louis University, Missouri.
