Biography
Laura Alberton, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in sports-related injuries of the knee and shoulder. Her clinical interests include anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries; knee ligament injuries and surgery; cartilage injuries; arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder; labral tears in the shoulder; meniscus tears; and rotator cuff tears.
In addition to her clinical practice, she conducts research on ACL outcomes and post-operative pain. She is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the California Orthopaedic Association. She is also an instructor for the San Diego Sports and Arthroscopy Fellowship and a clinical faculty member at the University of California, San Diego.
