Scripps offers ambulatory (same-day) surgery at our specialty center in San Diego
Scripps performs outpatient surgery at our accredited center on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Washington Street in Hillcrest. Located on the campus of Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, just off Highway 163, our surgeons treat many medical conditions using the latest minimally invasive techniques.

Directions and parking
Scripps Mercy Surgery Pavilion is located in Suite 101 of the 550 building, located on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Washington Street. Parking is available within walking distance of the building, in Scripps Mercy Hospital’s multilevel structure on Lewis Street. Download and print our campus map. (PDF, 510 KB)
Scripps charges for parking after 30 minutes. We also offer valet parking for a flat fee (may be unavailable due to COVID). Our rates are as follows:
- First 30 minutes: Free
- 31 minutes to 4 hours: $5
- 4 hours to all day: $10
- Maximum per day: $10
- Valet parking: $8 (may be unavailable due to COVID)
Parking for disabled visitors, expectant mothers and clergy is free. Visitors with disabilities can receive validation from a parking attendant. Expectant mothers can receive validation from the department they visit. Clergy can receive validation from the hospital administrative office.
Parking fees may be paid by cash, check or credit card. For your convenience an ATM machine is located on the first floor of the hospital, near the coffee cart in the lobby.
